Dear Relatives and Friends,

I have recently read of the celebrations connected with the 50th. Anniversary of the Gabbin School. For some time now I have thought of writing a few notes about my Mother's and my memories of this small School and the surrounding community. Both of us attended this litte School. My Mother, Winifred Clare together with her sisters Eva and Lily and cousin Jack Clare were among the first pupils at this School.

I hope the following thoughts will be enjoyable to you all. Unfortunately few notes and accurate information have been kept and so the following notes are only things things and anecdotes related to orally from one person to another. Please add your own ideas so we can expand and add any further stories you may have.
